30,000 Coop employees have been given new lighting. It is guaranteed flicker free. The result is a healthier working environment.

Nordic Business Light installed 1 million m2 of new lighting in 700 stores and a number of offices and warehouses. A total of 300,000 Coop employees have been given new lighting, which Nordic Business Light guarantees is flicker free. That means that employees who are sensitive to flickering have a better, more efficient working day without the risk of annoying headaches or fatigue.
The lighting project has given us much more than just financial savings. Thanks to less flicker, there is a better working environment for our staff. Far less maintenance is required in the stores, our customers now have better lighting, and our carbon footprint is greatly reduced. All these factors are positive and provide us with value.

The lighting components and LED tubes installed as part of the project meet extremely high-quality standards. Nordic Business Light used light that is guaranteed flicker free. What Does ‘Flicker Free’ Mean?
‘Flickering’ is a small ‘pulsing’ in the lighting. The lighting actually appears to flicker. It is not always something that people perceive visually, but it can lead to headaches, fatigue and other discomforts, if you work under lighting with a high flicker level for an extended period of time. Flickering often occurs in poor-quality LED tubes or some types of fluorescent tubes. In the Coop lighting project, all tubes are guaranteed flicker free.
